Pakistani Nationals Deported from Mendhar, J&K Following Pahalgam Terror Attack Directive
Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir | April 29, 2025 — In the aftermath of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, Indian authorities have ordered all Pakistani nationals residing in Mendhar and nearby areas of Jammu & Kashmir to return to Pakistan. Following this directive, several Pakistani-origin residents, who had been living in the region for over four decades, were deported.
A relative of one deported individual expressed deep concern, stating, “Some of my family members were sent back to Pakistan under this new order. They had been living here for 40–45 years. It feels like injustice. We request the government to reconsider and allow our relatives to return.”
This move has sparked emotional reactions from families who had been living together for generations, now forced apart due to renewed security measures.
