India Wins 8 Gold Medals on Day 10 of Commonwealth Games: 7 Golds in Boxing and 1 in Para Shot Put; 2 Medals Won in Triple Jump

Indian athletes delivered a stellar performance on Day 10 of the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, bagging a total of eight Gold Medals. Out of these, seven Gold Medals came from boxing alone, marking the best-ever record by Indian boxers in a single edition of the Commonwealth Games. Additionally, one Gold Medal was secured in para-athletics.

In women’s boxing, Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, and Arundhati Choudhary won their respective final matches to secure Gold Medals for the country. In the men’s category, Sachin Siwach defeated his Namibian opponent 3-2, while Ankush Panghal overcame an English boxer 4-1 to claim Gold Medals. However, Lovlina Borgohain, Jadumani, and Narender Berwal suffered defeats in their final bouts and settled for Silver Medals.

Beyond boxing, Soman Rana won a Gold Medal for India in the para-athletics Shot Put event. Meanwhile, Gulveer Singh created history by winning a Bronze Medal in the men’s 5000m race, becoming the first Indian athlete to win medals in both the 5000m and 10,000m events at the Commonwealth Games. Additionally, India secured two more medals in the Triple Jump event.
