Agra, July 4 (2026): A sensational and horrific case has emerged from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, which has left everyone in shock. A woman brutally murdered her own husband and, to conceal the crime, dug a pit and buried his body underneath the floor of their house’s bathroom. Not only this, to evade the eyes of the police and society, she had been orchestrating a false drama about her husband going missing for the past 45 days. Disclosing the details of the case, the police have arrested the accused wife.
According to the information received, the deceased has been identified as Surendra Sharma, who had been missing for about the last one and a half months. During this period, Surendra’s wife, Ruby, was continuously misleading the police investigation. She would pretend to assist in the investigation in front of the police and would sit and cry heavily before the neighbors to gain sympathy, ensuring no one harbored even a shred of doubt against her.
A new turn came in this blind murder case when the biological brother of the deceased, Surendra, noticed a major contradiction in Ruby’s gestures and statements. Observing Ruby’s suspicious activities, he immediately alerted the police. When the police conducted a rigorous interrogation, the bloody secret was unraveled. The police called in laborers and got the newly plastered bathroom floor inside the house dug up, from where Surendra’s decomposed body was recovered.
This incident has revived the horrific memories of the infamous “Blue Drum” murder case of February 2025, where Merchant Navy Officer Saurabh Rajput was murdered by his wife Muskan and her lover Sahil, who then chopped the body into pieces and sealed it with cement inside a blue drum. In this recent case in Agra, the wife similarly took the help of cement and a plastered floor to hide the body.
Currently, the police have taken possession of Surendra’s dead body and sent it for a postmortem. Police officials state that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. The police strongly suspect that without external support or another accomplice, Ruby could not have executed such a major crime entirely alone, nor could she have kept the body hidden for so many days. The police are rigorously interrogating Ruby to identify the remaining suspects involved in this crime.
