Closer Ties with China: President Trump’s Big Claim, “Xi Jinping Will Hug Me and Iran Will Not Get Chinese Weapons”

Washington: April 15, 2026

US President Donald Trump today made a major diplomatic claim regarding relations with China, sparking a new global debate. Through a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping has agreed not to supply weapons of any kind to Iran. According to Trump, he personally raised this critical issue with the Chinese President, following which he received this assurance from Beijing.

The US President wrote in his post that China is very pleased with his efforts to keep the Strait of Hormuz permanently open for the entire world. He expressed confidence that when he visits China in the coming weeks, President Xi Jinping will give him a warm welcome and a hug. Trump stated that the United States and China are currently working together very “wisely” and in a “great way.”

Diplomacy vs. Conflict
