Washington, August 2, 2026:
Tensions in West Asia (Middle East) have reached a critical point. US embassies in Amman, Jerusalem, and Baghdad have issued a serious security alert for their citizens, advising them to leave the region immediately or prepare for worst-case scenarios. The embassies have urged American nationals to check flight details and follow security guidelines provided by local authorities.
Following the end of a week-long ceasefire between the US and Iran, both countries have resumed attacks against each other. Speaking at Camp David in Maryland, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States would launch such a severe military assault on Iran that it would be forced to surrender. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Iran of violating the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU ceasefire agreement) and carrying out attacks on American soldiers.
Meanwhile, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is escalating out of control, with Iran continuously launching attacks on commercial vessels and oil tankers. On the other hand, the Kuwaiti military has retaliated against Iranian drone strikes within its territory. In Gaza, despite Hamas’s announcement to lay down weapons, Israeli airstrikes continue, raising concerns of a major regional war across West Asia.
