A very unique and extraordinary wedding was witnessed in Changanassery in Kerala’s Kottayam district, where two twin sisters married two twin brothers. The most special aspect of this wedding was that the priests officiating the wedding rituals were also twin brothers.
During the ceremony held at Changanassery Metropolitan Church, Akhil K Thomas married Magi Mary Thomas, while Nikhil K Thomas tied the knot with Maria Mary Thomas. Both grooms work in the Merchant Navy, while both brides are employed in the IT sector. The family members wished for a ceremony arranged in a way that allowed them to be together, and for this reason, they specifically reached out to twin priests—Father Anto Pezhumkattil and Father Ajo Pezhumkattil.
Both families expressed happiness as their parents’ dreams came true. One of the brides shared that their parents had always wanted them to marry twin brothers and have the rituals solemnized by twin priests. On the other hand, the officiating priests described the event as a very special and unforgettable moment for themselves as well. For the guests attending the wedding, seeing two identical newlywed couples standing side-by-side at the same altar was a truly unique and memorable experience.
