Operation Sindoor Taught in Madrasas: Uttarakhand’s Bold Educational Reform

The Uttarakhand government has made a major decision. It will now include Operation Sindoor in the syllabus of madrasas. This move aims to build national pride among students and help them understand India’s military actions.

What Is Operation Sindoor?

Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Army. It targeted terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The mission aimed to destroy terrorist bases threatening India’s security. Many have praised it as a successful and bold step by the Indian forces.

The Decision to Include It in Madrasas

Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, who heads the Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Board, made the announcement. He met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi along with other Muslim leaders. During the meeting, they praised the operation and expressed full support for the Indian government.

Qasmi said, “We told the Defence Minister that we support Prime Minister Modi. The country stands united behind him.” Inspired by the operation, they decided to start something new. They want madrasa students to learn not just religion, but also about India’s brave soldiers.

Blending Patriotism with Education

This is not the first reform in madrasas. In recent years, they have added modern subjects to the curriculum. Now, with Operation Sindoor, students will also learn about national security.

Qasmi added, “Our Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is the son of a soldier. Under his leadership, we want to inspire young minds.” By learning about Operation Sindoor, students will understand the sacrifices made for the country.

Why This Matters

This step connects traditional learning with real-world events. It shows how education can unite people and promote awareness. Including military operations like Operation Sindoor in the syllabus helps young citizens grow up informed and patriotic.
