Nick Jonas Opens Up About Daughter Malti’s Love for Singing: “It’s Her Choice”
Los Angeles, April 12, 2025 — Singer and actor Nick Jonas is opening up about fatherhood and his daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas’s early signs of musical talent. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Nick revealed that his three-year-old daughter, whom he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra, already has a love for singing — but whether she follows in her parents’ entertainment footsteps will be entirely her own decision.
Currently starring in the Broadway revival of The Last Five Years alongside Adrienne Warren, Nick was asked if he’d support Malti should she choose to enter show business. The question came after Adrienne reflected on her own challenging journey in the entertainment industry, which began when she was just 19, and shared her mixed feelings about her children potentially following the same path.
Nick responded with a smile, saying, “It’s going to be her choice. We have a three-year-old, and she loves to sing.” He added that he and Priyanka have had many conversations about the topic. While he acknowledged that the entertainment industry can be “wonderful,” he also noted it comes with “many unseen challenges.”
Despite his global fame and busy career, Nick has often emphasized the importance of keeping family at the center of his life, especially since becoming a father.
