Rakesh Kumar Verma Appointed as Director General of IIIDEM with Secretary Rank
New Delhi: Rakesh Kumar Verma, IAS (Punjab cadre, 1993 batch), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has been appointed as the Director General of the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM).
His new role in the Election Commission of India comes with the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. The post of Director General (Training) in the Election Commission has been temporarily upgraded and re-designated to accommodate this appointment.
