Stock Market Update: Key Stocks to Watch Today

After the weekend break, the Indian stock market is set to open today, with several stocks likely to see action due to recent major corporate developments. Last Friday, the market closed lower amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, which impacted investor sentiment. Stocks in Focus

1. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)
Mahindra & Mahindra has signed an agreement to acquire a 58.96% stake in SML Isuzu Limited for ₹555 crore. This deal is expected to strengthen Mahindra’s position in the truck and bus segment. In the previous session, M&M shares closed at ₹2,865, down for the day, and are down 7.04% so far this year.

2. RailTel
RailTel has received a ₹90 crore order from the Institute of Road Transport for designing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for MTCL Chennai, TNSTC-Coimbatore, and TNSTC Madurai. RailTel shares closed at ₹301, down over 4% in the last session, and are down 25.69% year-to-date.

3. India Cements
India Cements has turned profitable, reporting a net profit of ₹15 crore for the March 2025 quarter, compared to a loss of ₹61 crore in the same quarter last year. However, revenue declined by 3.1% to ₹1,197 crore. The stock is currently trading at ₹288.50 and is down 23.55% this year.

4. Tata Technologies
Tata Technologies announced a final and special dividend after a strong Q4. The company’s consolidated profit rose 11.8% to ₹189 crore in Q4 FY25, though revenue slipped slightly to ₹1,286 crore. Tata Tech shares closed at ₹692, down 3.5% in the last session, and have declined 22.32% this year.

5. Reliance Industries
Reliance Industries reported a 2.4% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹19,407 crore for the March quarter, driven by its retail and telecom businesses, even as the oil-to-chemicals segment faced challenges. The company announced a ₹5.5 per share dividend. Reliance shares closed at ₹1,301 and are up 6.53% year-to-date.
