‘Pakistan-based terrorists were neutralized faster than breakfast time,’ Defence Minister says at Bhuj Airbase
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the Indian Air Force (IAF) for its speed and precision during Operation Sindoor. Addressing personnel at the Bhuj Air Force Station in Gujarat, Singh declared that the mission delivered a powerful message to the world — that India will not tolerate terrorism.
“Within the time it takes to have breakfast, you eliminated the enemy,” Singh told air warriors to a round of thunderous applause. He revealed that the mission was completed in just 23 minutes, targeting Pakistan-based terror infrastructure.
Praising the flawless execution, Singh said, “What you accomplished during Operation Sindoor made every Indian proud — whether in India or abroad. It took only 23 minutes for the Indian Air Force to destroy terror camps nurtured on Pakistani soil.”
He emphasized that the operation caught global attention and demonstrated India’s clear stance on terrorism. “You didn’t just bomb the camps — you sent a clear message: India will respond with precision and power, and we will never tolerate terrorism,” he said.
Singh’s visit to Bhuj came a day after he toured Jammu & Kashmir, including the Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar, where he reviewed the overall security situation along the Line of Control and international border.
The Bhuj airbase had reportedly been among the targets during last week’s Pakistani aggression, making the minister’s visit even more symbolic.
Singh also issued a stern warning regarding financial aid to Pakistan. He opposed any assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stating, “IMF funds could end up financing terror outfits operating from Pakistani soil.”
He added, “We urge the IMF to reconsider. Pakistan should not receive any financial aid that might enable terrorism. India is among the countries that contribute to the IMF to help poor nations — not to empower those who shelter terrorists.”
During his visit to an airbase in Srinagar, Singh said Pakistan continues to deceive India by backing anti-national groups. “Pakistan must stop sheltering terrorist groups and using its land against India,” he said. He stressed that while Pakistan seeks IMF bailouts, India has reached a stage where it helps fund the IMF itself.
