‘My Health Is Perfect’: Trump Blames Aspirin for Hand Bruises, Reveals Recent ‘MRI’ Details

US President Donald Trump has blamed aspirin for bruises on his hand, while insisting he doesn’t fall asleep during public meetings.

Speaking about his bruised hands, Trump said the injury occurred when his Attorney General Pam Bondi hit the back of his hand with her ring during a high-five.

At 79, Trump is the oldest person to become US President. He claimed his “health is perfect” and expressed frustration over scrutiny of his fitness.

Trump made these remarks in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, defending his health amid recent questions. Reports have highlighted bruises on his hands—sometimes covered with makeup—and episodes of swollen ankles.

“Come on, this is the 25th time we’re talking about health,” Trump said in the interview. “My health is perfect.”

On the Hand Bruise
Explaining the mark on his hand, Trump attributed it to daily aspirin he takes to thin his blood.

“Aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don’t want thick blood flowing through my heart. I want good, thin blood flowing through my heart. Does that make sense?” Trump said.

The Republican president added that he uses makeup or bandages when he gets hit on the hand. He specified that the latest incident happened during the high-five with AG Pam Bondi, who struck the back of his hand with her ring.

‘Dozing Off’ and Recent ‘MRI’ Scan
Trump has been seen struggling to keep his eyes open several times, including during a November Oval Office meeting. However, he dismissed suggestions that he falls asleep publicly.

“I’ve never slept very much,” Trump said, referring to instances where he appeared asleep as “moments of rest.”

“I just close my eyes. It’s very comfortable for me. Sometimes they’ll catch me blinking, and they’ll say I’m blinking,” Trump told the Journal.

Asked about an October MRI, Trump said he had a CT scan instead. CT scans provide quick, detailed body images and are more common, while MRIs are slower for soft tissues. He also denied reports of hearing difficulties.

Trump’s concerns echo his past jabs at predecessor Joe Biden, whom he repeatedly mocked as “Sleepy Joe.” Trump rarely exercises beyond walking his golf courses and has made no secret of his love for fatty, high-sodium fast food.
