As of June 1, 2025, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been reduced by up to ₹25 across major Indian cities. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has issued the revised rates, offering some relief to businesses using these cylinders. However, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged since April 8.
According to the updated rates, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has dropped from ₹1,747.50 to ₹1,723.50, marking a ₹24 reduction. Similarly, Kolkata has seen a price cut from ₹1,851.50 to ₹1,826, also a reduction of ₹25.
In Mumbai, the commercial cylinder now costs ₹1,674.50, down from ₹1,699 in May. Chennai has recorded a similar decrease, with the price now set at ₹1,881, compared to ₹1,906 previously.
Despite the drop in commercial rates, domestic LPG cylinder prices for the standard 14.2 kg size have not changed since April 8, 2025. The current rates in key metro cities are:
Delhi: ₹853
Kolkata: ₹879
Mumbai: ₹852.50
Chennai: ₹868.50
These prices remain consistent, as domestic LPG rates are regulated by the government and are revised less frequently than commercial cylinders.

The pricing of commercial LPG cylinders is influenced by fluctuations in international crude oil prices and supply-demand factors. For example, the 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi was priced at ₹1,747.50 in May, which was already ₹17 lower than April. Now, with the June revision, it has further reduced to ₹1,723.50.
Domestic LPG prices, on the other hand, are regulated by the central government. The last hike was in April 2025, when the rate was increased by ₹50—from ₹803 to ₹853 in Delhi. Since then, no changes have been made to domestic cylinder pricing.
