Gold and Silver Prices Update (February 6, 2026)

Sharp fluctuations continue in today’s bullion market amid wedding season demand and India-US trade agreement developments, creating uncertainty for investors and buyers alike.

Latest Prices and Sharp Decline

According to the latest data from the All India Sarafa Association, gold prices have fallen from ₹1,65,100 to ₹1,60,600 per 10 grams. Silver has seen an equally dramatic drop—from ₹2,98,300 per kilogram on February 4 to around ₹2,68,000 per kilogram, a roughly ₹30,000 reduction.

This marks a significant retreat from record highs last month, when gold hit ₹1.93 lakh per 10 grams and silver reached ₹4.20 lakh per kilogram on January 29.

Key Reasons for Price Swing

Post-budget rally and India-US trade deal optimism initially drove prices up, but declines resumed from February 5. MCX futures for April gold delivery and March silver show consistent weakness. Experts attribute this to international market corrections and profit-taking by investors.
