Another Arrest in Attack on Delhi CM Rekha Gupta: What Was Tahseen Saeed’s Role?
New Delhi, August 22, 2025 (Friday, 4:46 PM) – The probe into the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta continues to widen. After the arrest of prime accused Rajesh Khimji Sakariya, Delhi Police has now detained one of his alleged associates from Rajkot, Gujarat. The suspect has been identified as Tahseen Saeed.
According to sources, Tahseen Saeed was picked up from Rajkot after questioning five individuals. He has been accused of transferring ₹2,000 to Rajesh Khimji before the latter traveled to Delhi and carried out the attack on the Chief Minister. Following initial interrogation, police took Saeed into custody and are bringing him to Delhi for further questioning.
While there has been no official statement from Delhi Police so far, investigators are probing Saeed’s exact role in the conspiracy. The key questions being examined are:
Was Saeed directly involved in planning the attack?
Did he and Rajesh Khimji act together as part of a larger plot?
Were there others behind the funding or coordination?
Sources also indicated that both accused could be made to face each other during interrogation in Delhi.
The case remains under active investigation, with Delhi Police seeking to uncover the extent of the conspiracy and whether it was a coordinated attempt on the Chief Minister’s life.
