Anil Vij Slams Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann: “Politics Is Not a Comedy Show”
*Chandigarh, June 3* – Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has taken a sharp dig at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his recent remarks, accusing him of treating serious political matters as comedy.
Reacting to Mann’s latest comments on a state-level issue, Vij said, “The Punjab Chief Minister was a comedian before joining politics. He wants to do comedy in politics, too. Such issues should be taken seriously and should not be mocked.”
Though Vij did not elaborate on the specific remark that triggered his response, the statement reflects rising tensions between the neighboring states’ leadership over recent political developments.
Bhagwant Mann, a former comedian turned politician and member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has often been criticized by opponents for his style of communication. However, his supporters argue that he brings a relatable and unfiltered approach to governance.
