AAP Leads in Ludhiana West Bypoll Exit Poll, Sanjeev Arora Emerges Frontrunner
Chandigarh/Ludhiana, June 21:
According to the exit poll conducted by People’s Insight on June 19 for the Ludhiana West Assembly by-election, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora is leading the race with a projected vote share of 39.8%.
The survey, based on a sample of 5,231 respondents and released on Wednesday evening, places the Indian National Congress (INC) in second position with 23.52%, followed closely by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 20.45%. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) trails with 7.91%, while other candidates collectively account for 8.32% of the projected votes.
The estimated total voter turnout is pegged at approximately 95,023. Based on the projected winning margin of 16.28%, AAP is expected to need a lead of about 15,466 votes to secure victory.
