56 Tehsildars and 166 Naib Tehsildars Transferred in wake of ongoing reforms in Revenue Department

Chandigarh, April 21:

          The Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to providing transparent and better services to the people of the state. In the wake of ongoing reforms in the Revenue Department, 56 Tehsildars and 166 Naib Tehsildars have been transferred today.

          In a press statement issued here today, Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He also said that harassment of people in government offices will not be tolerated. He added that complaints were being received in the offices related to the Revenue Department.

          Mr. Mundian said that the government is making continuous efforts to provide people-friendly administration, following which these transfers have been made. He further said that in future also, if any kind of complaint is received, such an action will be taken immediately.
