Washington, September 22, 2025 – U.S. politics is once again abuzz with speculation after business magnate Elon Musk was spotted alongside President Donald Trump for the first time in months. The two attended the memorial service of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, where they exchanged words and were seen shaking hands warmly.

Musk, who had remained absent from the political spotlight for nearly three months, later posted a photo on X with the caption, “For Charlie.” A video of the interaction quickly went viral, fueling debate about whether the two might be moving toward reconciliation.
Tensions between Trump and Musk began earlier this year over the controversial “One Big Beautiful Bill”, which Musk strongly opposed. The fallout led Musk to resign in May from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the Trump administration. Since then, their relationship had appeared strained and distant.
The recent public interaction has sparked fresh speculation in political and business circles about whether Musk and Trump could once again find common ground, especially as Trump seeks to consolidate allies ahead of key policy battles.
