Which Question About Afghanistan Angered Donald Trump? —

While speaking to the media about the shooting incident outside the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump lost his temper when a reporter asked why he continues to blame former President Joe Biden’s administration for the attack.

In response, Trump glared at the reporter and snapped: “Are you stupid?”

Why Trump Became Angry

Trump has repeatedly held the Biden administration responsible for the incident. The attacker, Rahmanullah, had entered the United States during Biden’s term under Operation Allies Welcome, a program launched to evacuate Afghans after the Taliban takeover.

When asked why he blamed Biden, Trump angrily said:

“I’m blaming him because he (Biden) brought thousands of people into America who should not be here. You’re asking this question because you’re a stupid person.”

He further claimed that the Biden administration had passed a law that prevents the U.S. from deporting such individuals. Trump described the entire situation as a “mess,” saying Afghanistan was already a “bad business,” and those brought in “should never have been here in the first place.”

Update on Injured Soldiers

Trump also confirmed that one of the injured National Guard members, Sarah Bäckström, had died from her wounds. Another Guardsman, Andrew Wolf, remains in critical condition.

Biden Supporters Respond

As Trump and his team continue to blame the Biden administration, Biden supporters have pushed back. They argue that the Afghans brought under Operation Allies Welcome:

  • had assisted the U.S. military and American diplomats in Afghanistan,

  • underwent strict security vetting, and

  • were evacuated for their safety after the Taliban regained control.

Under this initiative, about 76,000 Afghan citizens were brought to the United States—many of them translators and support staff who had risked their lives to help American forces.

The political blame game continues as both sides debate responsibility for the tragic attack outside the White House.
