US National Guard Member Dies After White House Terror Attack; Andrew Wolf Still Fighting for His Life

A tragic incident unfolded outside the White House in Washington, D.C., where a terrorist shooting left two U.S. National Guard members critically injured. One of them, Sarah Bäckström, has died from her injuries, while another Guard member, 24-year-old Andrew Wolf, remains in critical condition and is battling for his life.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Sarah’s death, calling her a “brave American soldier” from Summersville, West Virginia. The 20-year-old National Guard specialist succumbed to her gunshot wounds during treatment.

Authorities have identified the attacker as an Afghan immigrant, who opened fire near the White House perimeter. President Trump has declared the incident a terrorist attack, and officials confirmed that the assailant has been taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing, and increased security measures have been implemented in and around the White House following the attack.
