UGC NET Exam Dates Announced: Subject-Wise Schedule Released for 85 Papers, Check When Exam City Details Will Be Available

The National Testing Agency has officially announced the paper-wise (subject-wise) date sheet for the UGC NET December 2025 examination cycle. The exam will be conducted across the country in CBT mode over multiple days.
Exam Shifts:
Shift I: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Shift II: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Candidates are advised to carefully check their subject-wise exam date and shift to avoid any confusion.
According to NTA, the exam city intimation slip will be released 10 days before the start of the examination. However, the agency has not yet announced the exact date for the release of the UGC NET admit cards. Candidates should regularly visit the official website for updates.
UGC NET is a national-level eligibility test conducted twice a year to determine:
Eligibility for Assistant Professor posts
Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
Admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and higher education institutions
The examination consists of two papers:
Paper 1: General aptitude, teaching and research ability
Paper 2: Subject-specific paper chosen by the candidate
