Two Shooters Involved in Firing at Disha Patani’s House Killed in Ghaziabad Encounter

Ghaziabad, September 17, 2025 – Two suspects accused of firing at Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly were killed in an encounter with security forces in Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening. Police confirmed that the men were members of the notorious Goldy Brar–Rohit Godara gang.

The Encounter

A joint team of the Uttar Pradesh STF (Noida unit) and the Delhi Crime Investigation Unit launched an operation in Ghaziabad’s Techno City police station area. During the exchange of fire, both suspects sustained serious injuries and later died.

Police recovered a Glock pistol, a Zigana pistol, and several live cartridges from the site.

The deceased were identified as:

  • Ravinder, son of Kallu, resident of Rohtak, Haryana

  • Arun, son of Rajendra Singh, resident of Sonipat, Haryana

Background: The Bareilly Firing Incident

On September 12, 2025, around 3:45 a.m., unidentified assailants opened fire outside Disha Patani’s family residence in Bareilly. At least nine rounds were fired, sparking panic in the area.

A gang later claimed responsibility for the attack through a video shared on social media. In the clip, gang members said the firing was carried out in retaliation for remarks allegedly made by Disha Patani’s sister, Khushboo Patani, against spiritual leaders Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya.

Government and Police Action

Following the firing incident, a case was registered at Kotwali police station in Bareilly. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the matter and directed immediate action.

Police used CCTV footage, criminal databases, and technical surveillance to identify the accused as Ravinder of Rohtak and Arun of Sonipat, both linked to the Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang.

Gang Links and Criminal History

According to investigators, both men were active operatives of the Goldy Brar–Rohit Godara gang, which is notorious for extortion, contract killings, and high-profile attacks. The recovery of sophisticated foreign-made pistols indicates the gang’s access to international arms networks.

What’s Next?

Authorities said further investigation is underway to identify others who may have been involved in planning the Bareilly attack. Security around Disha Patani’s family has also been tightened.
