Trump Announces Ban on Immigration from “Third World” Countries After White House Terror Attack

Following the shooting of two U.S. National Guard soldiers near the White House—one killed and one critically injured—U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a sweeping new immigration policy targeting what he calls “Third World countries.”

The attacker, identified as 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was an Afghan national who had been brought to the United States in 2021. Before arriving in the U.S., he served in a CIA-backed Afghan military unit.

Trump’s Major Immigration Declaration

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the United States will impose a permanent ban on all immigration from Third World nations until, according to him, “the American system is fully restored.”

Trump claimed that the current immigration system has harmed American living standards and blamed the Biden administration for allowing “millions of illegal immigrants” to enter the country.

Trump stated:

“I will permanently halt immigration from all Third World countries.
I will deport millions of illegal immigrants who entered under Biden—many admitted with fraudulent autopen signatures.
I will end all federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens.
Anyone who poses a security risk, disrupts public order, or is incompatible with Western civilization will be removed.”

He added that these actions aim to “significantly reduce the illegal and disruptive population,” saying that only “reverse migration” could solve the crisis.

Attack Near the White House

The shooting involved two National Guard members from West Virginia. One soldier died from injuries, and the other remains in critical condition.

The suspect, Lakanwal, was apprehended at the scene. Trump has repeatedly criticized the Biden administration for bringing Afghan nationals—including former allied Afghan fighters—to the U.S. after the Taliban takeover in 2021.
