A goods train derailed in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district near Khurja Junction railway station around 12:30 AM. During the incident, two coaches of the train went off the tracks and overturned. The goods train was en route from Tundla when it lost balance and derailed. Railway officials were immediately informed by the loco pilot.
Following the accident, senior railway officials and technical staff reached the site to assess the damage and begin repair work on the tracks and coaches. Senior DSTEE officer Anil Kumar confirmed the incident and stated that an inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the derailment.
No casualties have been reported so far, and railway authorities are working to restore normal train operations at the earliest. The investigation will determine whether technical failure or other factors led to the accident.
