Tragic Canada Car Fire Claims Life of Morinda Man Harvinder Singh Harry
Ottawa/Morinda, August 10, 2025 – In a heartbreaking incident, 31-year-old Harvinder Singh Harry from Morinda, Punjab, lost his life in a horrific car fire in Canada. The tragedy occurred on Saturday along Highway 417 in Ottawa when his vehicle suddenly caught fire.
According to reports, Harvinder Singh Harry was on his way to visit his sister, who resides in Canada, to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival. Midway through his journey, his car unexpectedly burst into flames. The vehicle was quickly engulfed, leaving Harvinder severely burned. Despite being rushed to the hospital, doctors were unable to save his life.
Harvinder was the son of retired State Bank of Patiala employee Jasbir Singh and a resident of Sud Colony, Morinda. He had moved to Canada seeking better career prospects. This tragic loss comes just five months after his wedding on March 12, 2025.
The timing of the accident—just a day before Raksha Bandhan—has intensified the family’s grief. Loved ones in both Canada and India have been left devastated, as the young man’s promising future was cut short in the most tragic way.
