A horrific accident occurred on Lucknow’s Kisan Path when a moving bus caught fire while traveling from Bihar to Delhi. The incident sent shockwaves among passengers as flames engulfed the vehicle within minutes. Despite the blaze, the bus continued moving for nearly a kilometer, causing panic and chaos onboard.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fire broke out suddenly while the bus was in motion. The driver attempted to bring the vehicle to a halt, but the flames spread rapidly, trapping many inside. In a desperate attempt to escape, several passengers shattered windows and jumped out through the emergency exits.
Firefighters reached the scene promptly and began rescue operations. However, despite their efforts, five people were burned alive before they could be saved.
Authorities are still determining the exact cause of the fire. Preliminary investigations suggest that a technical malfunction or a wiring issue might have triggered the blaze.
Police have seized the burnt vehicle for forensic examination. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem.
