TMC’s Kunal Ghosh Slams Giriraj Singh Over Murshidabad Violence Remarks

*Siliguri, West Bengal | May 22* — Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh has strongly criticized Union Minister Giriraj Singh for his recent remarks on the Murshidabad violence, accusing him of spreading “a poisonous false campaign.”

Responding to Singh’s comments, Ghosh stated, “It was an unwanted, planned, and motivated incident. It is being investigated. The government and the Police are seeing why outsiders designed this plot.” He further alleged that Giriraj Singh is using the Murshidabad incident to divert public attention from the recent controversy surrounding Pahalgam.

“Giriraj Singh doesn’t even have an explanation for Pahalgam,” Ghosh added. “He is doing a distorted campaign about Murshidabad to distract from Pahalgam.”

Ghosh emphasized that the West Bengal government, under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is actively supporting the victims’ families. “Mamata Banerjee’s government is compensating the families of the deceased,” he said.

The situation in Murshidabad remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the involvement of alleged external elements in the incident.
