Aanchal never imagined that loving someone could bring such a terrifying punishment. Her only “crime” was falling in love with a man and wanting to build a life with him. But for her family—especially her father and brother—her simple wish was unacceptable.
Aanchal’s dreams of a peaceful future were shattered when the very people meant to protect her became the villains of her life.
Aanchal had decided to marry Saksham Tata, a young man from another caste. The two had been in love for three years, and Saksham was also a friend of Aanchal’s brother. His frequent visits had brought the two closer.
However, once Aanchal’s brother discovered the relationship, he strongly opposed it. The family believed the inter-caste marriage would damage their “honor.”
In a shocking and brutal act, Aanchal’s father and brother murdered Saksham. The incident has left the entire region in disbelief.
Even today, when humanity has reached the Moon and Mars, caste-based violence continues to claim innocent lives.
According to the police, Saksham was first beaten mercilessly. Then he was shot in the head, and later his skull was smashed with a stone.
Aanchal’s dreams were crushed along with the life of the man she loved.
What Aanchal did next left everyone stunned.
After her lover’s murder, she went to Saksham’s home. Before the last rites, she applied turmeric and sindoor on her forehead using Saksham’s hands, symbolically marrying him. She then chose to stay at his house.
Her grief, courage, and defiance moved many who witnessed the moment.
Saksham and Aanchal’s love developed naturally—through everyday conversations and time spent together. Aanchal loved him deeply and was unwilling to listen to anyone who tried to stop her.
But caste hatred ended their story forever.
Heartbroken and angry, Aanchal now demands the death penalty for those responsible for her lover’s murder—even though they are her own family members.
Police have acted swiftly, registering a case under multiple sections and arresting six accused individuals involved in the murder.
