This move follows increased military activity and drone sightings near the India-Pakistan border, raising concerns over passenger safety and national airspace integrity.
On May 13, 2025, IndiGo suspended all flights to Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot until 11:59 PM. Air India also halted two-way flight operations to Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot.

The cancellations come in response to heightened security protocols triggered by recent drone and missile movements from across the border, along with a suspected terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Although some airports resumed partial operations on Monday, airlines opted to keep flights grounded due to volatile conditions.
Both airlines have issued alerts requesting passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Airline staff are monitoring the situation closely and will share further updates as they become available.
IndiGo and Air India assured that normal operations will resume once authorities fully restore airport services. Passengers are advised to stay updated via the official websites and mobile apps of the airlines for the latest announcements.
This wave of flight disruptions underlines the seriousness of current regional instability. Authorities remain on high alert, and both airlines are cooperating with security agencies to ensure public safety.
