Tel Aviv/Tehran:
The ongoing bloody conflict in the Middle East has reached an extremely dangerous turning point as Israel has launched a direct assault on Iran’s nuclear program. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have officially confirmed that on Friday, their Air Force targeted a critical uranium processing plant located in Iran’s Yazd region. According to Israel, this facility played a vital role in preparing raw materials for Iran’s nuclear weapons. Additionally, Israeli jets bombarded the heavy water plant and plutonium production center located in Arak.
This joint operation involving the U.S. and Israel has created an atmosphere of terror throughout the region. According to Iranian media, Israel did not just target nuclear centers but also struck two massive steel plants considered the backbone of Iran’s economy. The attacks on the Khuzestan Steel Plant in Ahvaz and the Mobarakeh Steel Company near Isfahan have caused extensive damage. Iran’s Foreign Minister strongly condemned the action, stating that Israel has committed a major crime by targeting civilian sites and power plants, for which it will have to pay a heavy price.
It is noteworthy that this “nuclear tug-of-war” between Iran and Israel has been ongoing for a long time. Previously, Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility had been attacked, in response to which Iran attempted to target Israel’s secret nuclear site at Dimona. However, this time, Israel has launched a direct strike with the intent of completely dismantling Iran’s nuclear program. Despite U.S. diplomatic efforts, this military action has raised significant concerns for global security and the world’s oil supply.
