New Delhi, October 1, 2025 – Russian influencer Kristina, popularly known as “Coco in India” on Instagram and YouTube, has announced that she will be leaving India after four years of living in the country. The decision comes after she alleged misbehavior at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) while applying for a visa extension.
Kristina, who has millions of followers on social media, said in an emotional video that she did not want to face the female officer at FRRO again. Instead of extending her visa, she applied for an exit permit, which was immediately approved. She now has until October 12 to leave India and return to Russia.
Kristina first came to India in 2021 in search of love but decided to stay even after separating from her boyfriend. Over time, she developed a deep connection with Indian culture and lifestyle.
“I am Russian, and I love my country, but I loved living in India even more,” she said, holding back tears. “These four years were the best of my life. Despite all the struggles, I built my YouTube and Instagram channels here, I learned Hindi, and I discovered the true meaning of friendship and love.”
Earlier, Kristina had released a series of three videos accusing a female FRRO officer of harassment and intrusive questioning. According to her, the officer asked why she stayed in different hotels and even checked her private phone conversations.
Coco strongly denied any wrongdoing, saying: “I never stayed in hotels with anyone except my boyfriend. If there are hotel records proving otherwise, I will accept being called a prostitute.” She broke down in tears as she revealed that some people had labeled her a “porn star” and “sex worker” in online comments, accusations she described as deeply hurtful and completely false.
One of Kristina’s biggest regrets is that she could not fulfill her dream of visiting Bihar for Chhath Puja.
“With tears in my eyes, I say this – my wish to see Chhath Puja in Bihar remains unfulfilled,” she said. “I also wanted to experience Durga Puja there. Maybe someday in life, I will return.”
Despite her departure, Kristina expressed gratitude to her Indian followers: “I was lucky to have people here who loved me and whom I loved. I will always carry those memories.”
