The footage initially shows normal passenger movement inside the station. Seconds later, a sudden violent tremor shakes the entire structure. Objects inside the station visibly rattle, and commuters instantly rush backward in fear and confusion.
This was the moment when a car parked near a traffic signal outside the metro station exploded. The shockwave from the blast was so intense that it shook the station from within, triggering chaos among the passengers.
An official involved in the investigation said, “This footage is extremely important for understanding the intensity of the explosion, its structural impact, and the direction of the blast wave.”
Following the incident, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) closed the Red Fort station immediately. The station will remain shut until further notice while a detailed security assessment and structural inspection are carried out.
Security agencies are now reviewing the newly surfaced footage along with recordings from several other cameras installed around the blast site, nearby streets, and inside the station. Investigators are using these visual inputs to reconstruct the complete sequence of events before and after the explosion.
The deadly blast, which occurred earlier this week, claimed the lives of 13 people, triggering a high-level multi-agency probe.
