Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the House during the farewell of 37 retiring Members of Parliament from the Rajya Sabha. While the occasion was deeply emotional, the House erupted in laughter when the Prime Minister mentioned RPI leader Ramdas Athawale in his signature witty style. Describing Athawale as an “evergreen leader,” PM Modi praised his satirical flair and his ability to maintain a sense of humor within the House. He remarked that while opportunities for laughter are becoming rare in the House these days, Athawale’s presence always fills that void.
