Aam Aadmi Party Leader Nitin Nanda Shot in the Head in Punjab, Shifted to Chandigarh PGI in Critical Condition

A shocking incident has been reported from Punjab, where Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Nitin Nanda was shot in the head during a public function. The leader sustained serious injuries and has been referred to PGI Chandigarh for advanced medical treatment.
According to preliminary reports, the attack took place in Sri Anandpur Sahib Assembly constituency, where Nanda had gone to attend a wedding ceremony. Eyewitnesses said that as soon as the gunshot was fired, panic broke out among the attendees, leading to chaos at the venue.
Following the shooting, local residents and party workers rushed Nanda to the Civil Hospital in Anandpur Sahib. After receiving first aid, doctors referred him to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, citing the critical nature of his head injury.
Medical sources revealed that the bullet entered from behind his head, causing severe internal damage. His condition is reported to be extremely critical, and doctors at PGI are closely monitoring him.
Police teams have reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are working to identify the attacker and the motive behind the shooting. The incident has sparked shock and outrage among AAP supporters in the region.
