Prominent Figures, Including Elon Musk and Prince Andrew, Appear in Newly Released Epstein Files

A new collection of documents stemming from the estate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was publicly released by Congressional Democrats, revealing apparent contacts with several high-profile figures.

The records, which represent the third batch received by the House Oversight Committee, contain excerpts from flight manifests, financial ledgers, and Epstein’s daily schedules.

Tech and Political Figures Named

Among the figures referenced in the schedules are billionaire Elon Musk and venture capitalist Peter Thiel, as well as former Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

  • An entry from a December 2014 record includes a note regarding a tentative visit: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).” Musk has previously stated that Epstein repeatedly invited him to his private island but he always declined the invitation.
  • The documents also list a planned lunch with Thiel in late 2017 and a planned breakfast with Bannon in early 2019.
  • Microsoft founder Bill Gates is also mentioned with a tentative breakfast party scheduled for December 2014.

Prince Andrew Flight and Ledger Entry

The documents also provided new details regarding the disgraced royal, Prince Andrew:

  • A flight manifest from May 2000 names the Duke of York as a passenger on Epstein’s private jet flying from New Jersey to Florida, alongside Epstein and his convicted associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
  • A financial ledger from the same year records payments for “massages” for an individual referred to simply as “Andrew.”

No accusations of criminal activity were leveled against any of the names in the newly released documents, and Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to his relationship with Epstein.

Democrats on the Oversight Committee urged the Justice Department to release the full set of files, stating that the documents make it clear Epstein “was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world.” Republicans, meanwhile, accused the Democrats of selectively releasing the documents for political purposes.
