Pakistan Reels from Internal Rebellion: BLA Attacks Multiple Military Bases, Kills 10 Pakistani Soldiers

 Updated: December 30, 2025, 5:03 PM

Pakistan’s troubled Balochistan province faces escalating security challenges as the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claims to have killed 10 Pakistani soldiers in a series of coordinated attacks across multiple districts. These strikes in Jhao, Barkhan, Tump, and Turbat expose deepening vulnerabilities in Pakistan’s military security and the intensifying Baloch insurgency.

International Desk: Security conditions in Balochistan continue to deteriorate rapidly. Just one day after Baloch armed groups claimed 15 Pakistani soldiers killed, the BLF announced fresh attacks targeting Pakistani military positions.

BLF spokesperson Major Gwaram Baloch stated that on December 28 afternoon, fighters ambushed a Pakistani military convoy in Jhao area of Awaran district. The assault targeted an infantry unit, bomb disposal squad, and a pickup vehicle. According to BLF, 8 soldiers died on the spot, with 3 others critically injured. Shockingly, the armored vehicle providing convoy security fled the scene, abandoning the casualties.

Coordinated Multi-Front Assault
Hours later, BLF fighters launched a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack on a military camp near Ratkhani in Barkhan district, killing 2 more soldiers and injuring one. Additionally, a hand grenade assault targeted the main gate of a Pakistani naval camp in Turbat, causing casualties and forcing increased patrols in the area.

BLF’s Defiant Message
The BLF declared these operations part of their ongoing campaign: “Attacks on Pakistani security forces will continue until the goal of an independent Balochistan is achieved.” Analysts view these strikes as clear indicators of weakening Pakistani military control on the ground and deepening internal rebellion in Balochistan.
