PM Shehbaz Sharif’s YouTube Channel Blocked in India, Pakistani News Websites Also Taken Offline

India has intensified its tough stance against Pakistan following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In a series of escalating measures, the Indian government has continued to take decisive actions aimed at isolating Pakistan diplomatically and digitally.

YouTube Channel of Pakistan PM Blocked in India

On Friday evening, India blocked access to the official YouTube channel of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This move is seen as part of a broader crackdown on Pakistani digital platforms within Indian territory. Soon after, the X (formerly Twitter) account of Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar was also suspended in India.

Tarar had earlier sparked controversy by posting a video on X around 2 AM two days ago. In the video, he claimed that India was preparing to launch a military attack on Pakistan within the next 26 to 36 hours. Indian authorities viewed the statement as provocative and a violation of community guidelines, leading to the account’s suspension.

Top Pakistani News Websites Taken Offline in India

In addition to the blocking of individual accounts, several prominent Pakistani news websites became inaccessible from within India. These include:

  • Dawn

  • Geo News

  • ARY News

  • Samaa TV

  • Bol News

Users in India can no longer access these sites, even with login credentials, as they have been taken offline or geo-restricted by Indian authorities.

These developments underline the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, with digital platforms becoming a new frontier in the ongoing diplomatic conflict.
