Over 300 Flights Cancelled in India

India has cancelled over 300 domestic flights and temporarily closed 25 airports. These actions follow missile strikes launched by Indian forces on terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK.

Indigo Cancels Over 165 Flights Until May 10

IndiGo has cancelled more than 165 flights. The cancellations affect airports including Amritsar and Srinagar. The airline said flights would remain suspended until the morning of May 10 due to airspace restrictions.

25 Airports Shut in Northern and Western India

At least 25 airports are closed in northern and western parts of the country. Affected airports include Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala, and Jamnagar.

Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air, and several foreign airlines have suspended operations to and from these locations.

Air India Group Cancels Nearly 140 Flights

Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express have dropped close to 140 flights. A spokesperson said the decision follows a government notice. All flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot will remain cancelled until 5:29 AM IST on May 10.

IndiGo Confirms Airport Closures in Official Statement

In an official note, IndiGo acknowledged the government’s airspace restriction. The airline suspended flights from Amritsar, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Gwalior, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Leh, Rajkot, and Srinagar. The ban remains in place until 5:29 AM IST on May 10.

IndiGo operates about 2,200 flights daily. This large-scale disruption is affecting thousands of travelers. Passengers should check with their airline for updates and alternative options.
