Peshawar, Pakistan—A major terrorist attack struck the city of Peshawar on Monday (24 November 2025) when armed militants targeted the headquarters of a paramilitary force. The attack involved heavy gunfire and multiple explosions, causing widespread panic in the area.
Militants stormed the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar, opening fire after forcing their way inside. According to police officials quoted by Reuters:
Two suicide bombers carried out the assault.
The first attacker detonated himself at the main entrance of the Constabulary.
The second attacker entered the compound and detonated inside.
In addition to the assault on the headquarters, two powerful blasts were heard near FC Chowk at the main Saddar Bazaar, triggering chaos as civilians fled for safety.
Initial death toll: At least three people have been reported killed.
Security response: Army units, police, and other law-enforcement agencies quickly cordoned off the area. A counteroperation is underway due to fears that more attackers may still be inside the compound.
