Sharing a critical update on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump stated that some of the world’s largest empty oil tankers are currently en route to the United States.
These tankers will be loaded with what Trump described as the world’s finest “Sweet Crude Oil” and gas. He claimed that the quality of oil reserves held by the U.S. far surpasses that of the world’s two largest oil economies—a move being viewed as a strategic masterstroke to establish dominance in the global energy market.
This development unfolds as senior officials from the U.S. and Iran meet face-to-face in Islamabad, Pakistan, for high-stakes peace negotiations aimed at ending the conflict.
Iran’s 10-Point Proposal: Iran has presented a 10-point plan for a ceasefire, which includes:
Withdrawal of U.S. forces from Western Asia.
Removal of economic sanctions imposed on Iran.
Restoration of Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran maintains that Washington must respect its “Red Lines” for a ceasefire to be successful. Meanwhile, Trump has already made it clear that Iran should not collect fees from tankers, arguing that such actions are severely impacting the global energy supply chain.
