“Jammu and Kashmir is an Integral Part of India, the Nation Stands United Against Terrorism”: Rahul Gandhi on Pahalgam Attack in Srinagar

As the nation continues to express anger over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited Srinagar on Friday. During his visit, he met with the families of the victims at the Army Hospital in Badami Bagh Cantonment. He also held meetings with the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the media, Rahul Gandhi stated, “I came here to understand the situation and to offer my support. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, and the entire nation is united against terrorism. We must stay connected and resolute against hate and terror.” He added that people across Jammu and Kashmir have strongly condemned the attack and have the support of the whole country. “I met one of the injured victims—my love and sympathy are with all those who lost their loved ones. The country stands with them.”

Commenting on the all-party meeting held on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi said the united opposition had condemned the attack and expressed full support for any steps the government decides to take. “This incident is an attempt to divide society, to pit brother against brother. It is crucial for every Indian to stand together and resist such efforts by terrorists.”

Rahul Gandhi emphasized the importance of national unity, saying, “It is heartbreaking to see people attacking my brothers and sisters from Kashmir and other parts of the country. We must stand united, confront this heinous act, and defeat terrorism once and for all.”
He concluded by stating that he had received a detailed briefing from the CM and the LG about the situation and assured them of complete support from himself and his party.
