IndiGo Flight From Delhi to Srinagar Hit by Hailstorm, Lands Safely

May 21, New Delhi/Srinagar — An IndiGo flight traveling from Delhi to Srinagar experienced a sudden hailstorm mid-air on Tuesday but landed safely, with no injuries reported.

Flight 6E 2142, which was en route to Srinagar, encountered turbulent weather due to a hailstorm during its journey. IndiGo Airlines issued an official statement confirming the incident and reassuring that standard safety protocols were promptly followed by the flight and cabin crew.

“The aircraft landed safely in Srinagar. The airport team attended to the customers after arrival, prioritizing their wellbeing and comfort,” the airline stated.
