Indian Embassy Issues Advisory for Travelers to Nepal After Gen-Z Protests
Kathmandu/New Delhi, September 19, 2025 – In the aftermath of recent political turmoil in Nepal triggered by Gen-Z-led protests, the situation in the Himalayan nation is gradually stabilizing. Against this backdrop, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has issued a travel advisory for Indian citizens planning to visit Nepal.
The Embassy noted in its statement: “Over the past week, the situation in Nepal has improved considerably. Road transport and flight operations are now running on schedule.”
However, Indian citizens have been urged to exercise caution during their travels and to closely follow updates or instructions issued either by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu or local authorities in Nepal.
This advisory comes just days after the Karki government announced financial support of ₹10 lakh to the families of those killed during the Gen-Z movement protests.
