New Delhi, May 11:
India has strongly condemned repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan just hours after a mutual understanding was reached between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries earlier this evening.
In an official statement, the Indian government said these acts represent a serious breach of the agreement finalized earlier in the day. “The armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations,” the statement said, adding that the matter is being taken “very, very seriously.”
Calling upon Pakistan to take “appropriate steps” to curb these violations, India urged Islamabad to deal with the situation with “seriousness and responsibility.” The statement emphasized that India’s armed forces remain on high alert and have been directed to respond firmly to any further breaches, whether along the International Border or the Line of Control (LoC).
The situation remains tense along the border, and Indian troops continue to maintain strong vigilance in light of the recent developments.
