Donald Trump Reacts to Epstein Email Allegations: “Only the Bad, Wrong, or Foolish Will Fall Into the Trap”

Washington, November 13, 2025 (8:44 AM IST) — Former U.S. President Donald Trump has broken his silence on the Jeffrey Epstein email controversy, dismissing the claims as a “Democratic conspiracy” aimed at diverting public attention from ongoing domestic issues, including the recent government shutdown.

Trump Denies Allegations, Calls It a Political Trap

In a post on his TruthOut Social account, Trump said Democrats were “reviving the old Epstein case” to deflect attention from their policy failures. “Only the bad, the wrong, or the foolish Republicans will fall into the Democrats’ trap,” Trump wrote, accusing his opponents of orchestrating a smear campaign.

He added, “Democrats caused the shutdown, cost this nation $1.5 trillion, and endangered people’s lives. They must pay a political price for their reckless actions.”

The Email Claims

The controversy erupted earlier this week when Democratic lawmakers released several emails allegedly linked to Jeffrey Epstein, his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and journalist Michael Wolff. In one of the emails, Epstein claimed that Donald Trump had spent “several hours” with one of the survivors at his residence — a woman later identified as Virginia Giuffre.

According to the emails, Trump was aware of several victims, including minors, which reignited public debate over his past ties with Epstein.

White House Issues Clarification

Responding to the controversy, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt issued a statement defending the former president. She said, “Donald Trump has done nothing wrong. The Democrats deliberately released redacted emails to mislead the public.”

Levitt further noted that Virginia Giuffre, the survivor mentioned in the emails, had taken her own life years earlier. “In her personal notes and memoir, she described Donald Trump as a friend who never did anything inappropriate,” Levitt said.

The press secretary emphasized that “none of the released materials provide any evidence linking President Trump to Epstein’s crimes.”

Renewed Political Storm

This is not the first time Trump’s name has surfaced in the Epstein case, but these latest emails — and Trump’s fiery response — have once again thrust the scandal into the political spotlight, just as the 2026 election season gains momentum.
