Chandigarh, June 8, 2025 – Flyers now have a new travel option as a direct flight between Chandigarh and Hisar will begin operations starting Monday, June 9. The service will be run by Alliance Air using an ATR-72 aircraft, and will operate twice a week – on Mondays and Fridays.
Ajay Verma, CEO of Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, confirmed that the flight slot has been approved. With the addition of Hisar, the airport now connects Chandigarh to 18 Indian states. Discussions are also ongoing with airlines to begin direct flights to Ayodhya and Nanded Sahib, both significant religious destinations.
Chandigarh to Hisar: Departure at 3:20 PM, arrival at 4:30 PM
Hisar to Chandigarh: Departure at 4:55 PM, arrival at 5:55 PM
Flight Duration: 1 hour (Hisar to Chandigarh); 1 hour 10 minutes (Chandigarh to Hisar)
Fare Range: ₹1,449 to ₹1,704 (flexi fare based)
Aircraft: ATR-72, 72-seater

Chandigarh’s international airport has seen rapid growth in domestic connectivity. It now offers:
