Tel Aviv Car Bomb Explosion Injures Several, Police Launch Probe

Tel Aviv, Israel | Sept 25, 2025 – A powerful car bomb explosion rocked Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv, on Thursday evening, leaving several people injured and sparking panic in the city.

What happened

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the blast occurred on La Guardia Street in the Yad Eliyahu neighborhood, where a car suddenly exploded. Emergency responders, including police and fire brigades, rushed to the site and quickly cordoned off the area.

One injured person was taken to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv for treatment. Authorities have not yet released details on the number of total casualties.

Initial investigation

Israeli police confirmed they have launched an investigation, calling it a possible criminal incident. Forensic teams are examining the blast site, and traffic in the affected area has been diverted.

So far, the exact cause of the explosion remains unclear, and police have not ruled out the possibility of foul play.

Recent background of attacks

This incident comes just months after multiple bus explosions in February near Tel Aviv, where five timer-equipped devices detonated across three buses. Authorities at that time called it a terrorist attack, though no fatalities were reported.

The latest car bomb has heightened concerns about urban security in Tel Aviv, especially given the rising frequency of targeted explosions in Israel this year.
