In a fiery interview that lays bare the rising resentment in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, Razzak Baloch, Secretary General of the Baloch American Congress, has made a direct appeal to India and the United States to support the Baloch freedom movement. He claimed Pakistan’s control is now confined mostly to Quetta and that 70-80% of Balochistan has become a no-go zone for the Pakistani Army.

According to Baloch, the situation on the ground has changed dramatically. “Even in cities like Quetta, the Pakistani military hides in their homes after sunset. They are scared to come out,” he said. He emphasized that the people of Balochistan, long treated like stepchildren by the Pakistani state, are now standing up in protest—both vocally and violently when needed.

Baloch Freedom Movement Growing Despite Crackdowns

Baloch also accused the Pakistani Army of turning the entire region into a military garrison. Despite the arrest of leaders like Mehrang Baloch, he said, every district is witnessing waves of resistance and demonstrations. “People are no longer afraid. They have realized that silence brings only more oppression,” he stated.

He praised political efforts made by leaders such as Sardar Akhtar Mengal but stressed that domestic attempts alone are no longer enough. “The international community must act. We need global platforms to raise our voices,” he insisted.

Direct Appeal to India and the United States

Razzak Baloch made an open call for support from democratic nations. “We’re not beggars like the Pakistani elite,” he declared. “We are humans, and we speak with dignity. If India supports us, the doors of Balochistan will always remain open to them.”

When asked whether a Baloch government-in-exile could be formed in India, he didn’t dismiss the idea but highlighted that respect and cooperation—not dependency—would guide any future alliance.

A Regional Warning to the World

Calling the Pakistani military a “barbaric force,” Baloch issued a stark warning to the international community: “If the world ignores Balochistan’s voice today, tomorrow this army could spread destruction across South Asia. Before they flee like they did in Bangladesh, they should retreat with dignity.”

He urged democracies around the world to offer platforms for Baloch representatives and to support their just fight against state-sponsored injustice.
