Baloch Insurgents Target Jaffar Express Again, Two Blasts Disrupt Rail Network in Pakistan

Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province witnessed fresh violence on Friday after suspected Baloch insurgents carried out two powerful bomb blasts on a key railway line, once again attempting to target the Jaffar Express. Although the passenger trains escaped direct damage, the explosions severely damaged the tracks, cutting off rail connectivity between Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan.

According to local media reports, the twin blasts occurred in the Mushkaf and Dasht areas, both located along the main railway route used by the Jaffar Express and the Bolan Express, which travels to Karachi. The attacks have intensified fears among Pakistani citizens, who continue to live under the shadow of recurring insurgent violence in the region.

A senior local police official, quoted by News18, said the explosion in the Mushkaf area damaged nearly three meters of railway track, while the second blast in the Dasht area of Mastung district destroyed a portion of the main line.
